So Many Choices

Both the RAM 1500 and Ford F-150 offer multiple trim options to fit a wide range of buyers. You have the base models that are no frills but all the basics. As you move up to the top trims for either model, you get more capability, versatility, and luxury features. The 2026 RAM 1500 offers 11 trims, three more than the 2026 F-150. Some models focus on off-roading while others provide more premium amenities and an upscale cabin. Both trucks come with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty with the option to add an extended warranty.

A Modern Cabin

Both trucks offer the basic features on the entry level trims, such as power windows, power locks, and remote keyless entry. Only the 2026 RAM 1500 includes remote engine start, keyless ignition, and proximity keyless entry as standard on all trims. Both models include cruise control across the line, but only the RAM 1500 makes adaptive cruise control standard, which automatically adjusts the speed based on traffic. With the top trims, you can expect the entertainment system to be top-notch. Ford features a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system for clear sound while the RAM 1500 includes a 23-speaker system from Klipsch. These high-end trims provide front heated and cooled seats with heated seats for the second row. RAM adds cooled seats for the second row for optimal comfort all year long.

Superior Safety

Ford and RAM add quite a few safety features to the base models, such as automatic braking and brake assist. Lane keep assist and a blind spot system are standard as well as a backup camera and rear parking sensors with rear cross-traffic alert. On the top trim, these two trucks go head-to-head with nearly identical lists of features. The 2026 RAM 1500 does include a heads-up display for the Tungsten while it’s not included in the Raptor for Ford.

Impressive Performance

Both the RAM 1500 and F-150 were built to work hard. For the base trim, the two trucks include V6 engines with about the same power level. The F-150 is slightly ahead in this department. When you move to the top of the line, the 3.0L turbo V6 for the RAM 1500 produces quite a bit more power over the 3.5L V6 turbo for the F-150. Torque is also slightly higher with the 1500, which translates into nearly 1000 pounds more of towing capacity for the RAM truck.
